Who Does What at the Meetings?

Toastmaster Functionaries: Prior to the meeting: During the meeting:

Toastmaster

Contact Topicmaster to discuss duties; contact speakers for information on speech; contact General Evaluator to discuss duties; prepare remarks relevant to theme of evening Preside over meeting; lead applause; introduce meeting participants; limit comments; call for Timer's report and vote for Best Speaker
Topicmaster Prepare questions for Tabletopics relevant to theme of evening; take note of members without functions for the evening State purpose of Tabletopics session; limit comments; call upon members without functions for Tabletopics questions; Invite guest participation; watch time; call for Timer's report and vote for best Tabletopics
Speaker Prepare speech; rehearse speech; be in touch with evaluator; prepare introduction for Toastmaster Present speech
General Evaluator Contact evaluators and other functionaries to discuss duties Introduce evaluators; call for Timer's report and vote for Best Evaluator; call for Functionary reports; present awards (select Functionary Excellence & Vicki Treciak Spirit Award recipients - What's this?); give general evaluation of meeting.
